2018 is the 300th anniversary of the passing of our favorite pirate, that scallywag Black Beard, and as such, the theme for the annual pirate invasion is Pirates Helping Pirates. Even as you are hunting for buried treasure, sword fighting with sworn enemies, and learning how to be the perfect pirate, you will also be doing a good deed. All proceeds will be donated to the Virgin Unite's BVI Community Support Appeal. For three days there will be parties and pancakes, battles and visits to Pirate Camps, and a Ghost Walk that may even offer the opportunity to make contact with the death day man of the hour, ole Black Beard himself! A Sea Battle between two pillaging pirate ships promises to be the event of the weekend, but to be perfectly honest, everything that goes on during the Bald Head Island Pirate Festival will be a blast!
